About the Choir
qPC is an adult community choir centered around joy, community building and music making. We are open to all levels of experience, whether your experience comes from singing in the kitchen or advanced musical studies, your voice is welcome here. We sing in 3 part harmony using sheet music, however it is not necessary to read music in order to sing along. We are not a competing or travelling choir, but rather one focused on connecting voices across qathet. We sing pop music throughout the past 70 years and perform in a Spring concert.
About the Director
qPC is a project from local musician and educator, Kate Parnell. Born and raised in a small town in the Okanagan, completing her musical training at UBC, Kate recently moved with her family to the qathet region, where her wife grew up.
Kate’s style of leadership is based in joy, humour, connection and kindness, and strives to make qPC a place where people can find healing, friendship, happiness and fulfillment in music.
